Retreats

Small, and built around who is coming

Around twenty-five retreats since 2017, across Mexico, Italy, the Caribbean, and California. Never large ones.

The retreat part is the gift, because we're taking you out of your everyday life and we are truly giving you a healthy dose of self-care.

Who they are built for

A women's retreat runs on an open date that anyone can join. Couples and families are built privately, for that group only, and priced by length and group size once the shape of it is clear.

    Women's retreats

An open date that anyone can join. Small, and built around bonding and unburdening away from everything you carry at home.

  • A couple resting on a rocky coastal trail above clear blue water

    Couples

Private, built for the two of you, with sessions before you travel so the week starts somewhere.

  • A family walking down a stone path toward the sea

    Families

Private, built around what that family is actually working on, and priced by length and group size.

What happens on a retreat

The movement is only part of it. The rest is the conversation: what is actually going on, what is worth keeping, what you want to adjust when you go home. A retreat that is only yoga leaves that part out.

How a retreat actually gets made

A retreat is not booked, it is built, and it starts two to six months out. Almost none of that work is the week itself. It is the months of shaping it around the people who are coming.

You decide

  • Where it happens
  • Who comes
  • What is on the itinerary, and what is not
  • How much of the planning you want to be part of

She carries

  • Finding and booking the place
  • Building the itinerary
  • The sessions before you go
  • The pace of the week once you are there
  • Everything that has to be arranged in between
  1. The first conversations

You talk first, sometimes several times, because it is a real decision and it should take as long as it takes. Nothing gets booked while you are still working out whether you want it.

  2. Sessions before you travel

For a couple or a family, the work starts at home. A few sessions before the trip mean nobody arrives cold, and the week has somewhere to begin instead of spending three days getting started.

  3. The questionnaire

It is deliberately not solemn. Your favorite film. The things you catch yourself saying about yourself. Who in your family you are most likely to roll your eyes at, and what that is about. The answers tell Alicia more than a form ever would.

  4. You help choose the place

A resort or a house, quiet or lively, near water or in a town. You are the one spending the week there, so you have a say in where it is.

  5. You say what you will not do

No zip lines. No ATVs. Or the opposite, that you want all of it. Comfort gets stretched on a retreat, never ambushed.

  6. A working itinerary, with gaps left in it

She builds the days around what you said and sends them over as a working document rather than a fixed schedule. The gaps are deliberate. The conversations that turn out to matter tend to happen in them.

I can do it all, or you can join me in every part of the process.

A retreat isn't for everyone. But if you want to spoil yourself and give yourself the gift of thinking about things in your life and what you may or may not want to keep or discard, and at the same time have fun with like-minded people, then it might be something to consider.
